Let the Healing begin

Back in 2011, while working at a company in Saudi Arabia, I faced a situation that left a lasting mark on me. I was 46 at the time, trying to navigate a challenging work environment, when I encountered relentless bullying from my manager that I nicknamed Num Nutz. Num Nutz who took things to a personal level. Calling me a baby was the kindest thing he said to me in one of his off duty tirades. He was lazy and did not do his job. His constant belittling, mocking me in front of others, and creating a hostile environment made every day a struggle.I

I remember one incident where the finance manager short my pay by 2/3. Instead of making sure the teachers were paid properly he tried to bully me out of the pay office. Then the person in charge of our visa made a mistake in the paperwork and all me left me stranded during a vacation time in the kingdom, because I had no way of leaving. I explained the bullying to his boss I call Organizer Brewmaster. He told me I am owed an apology than ignored me. So, I get Organizer Brewster believes this is an appropriate way to treat an employee.

Now, at 60 years old, I’m no longer in Saudi Arabia, splitting my time between Thailand and the U.S. I can’t return to work there due to age restrictions on work visas, which gives me some distance to reflect and speak out. I’m sharing this not to play the victim, but to hold those responsible accountable.

Interconnect is a pseudonym for the language school I worked at.
